thoughts...

earlier today, i saw my "memoirs of a geisha" book that my dad gave me when i was in my last year in high school.

i re-read several quotes from the novel that i think everyone should learn from...

"...some girls are smart and some are stupid," Chapter 4 pg. 53

"You should have told me sooner what a pretty girl you brought with you. Her eyes...they're the color of a mirror!" Chapter 5 p.g.60

"You hate anyone more successful than you." Chapter6 p.g.76

"But to learn in a single moment that both my mother and my father had died and left me, and that my sister too was lost to me forever...at once my mind felt like a broken vase that would not stand. I was lost even within the room around me." Chapter 8 p.g.103

i didn't feel particularly well for this day because i have colds and i'm coming up with a slight fever.

i want to thank the following people who made me feel less sick through their efforts of showing that they care, even though i looked like i wanted to shut the rest of the world out earlier today..

see?the small things we usually take for granted are often the things that most people remember and appreciate.
